Coaches Recognition Policy

Aim

This policy was enacted following a proposal from club members wishing to recognise all the hard work fellow Club members do on behalf of Barnet and District Athletic Club, without which the Club may not exist.

Purpose

To acknowledge and thank those who give their time and effort to coach Club athletes thereby allowing Club members to train and compete effec<vely.

All qualified coaches who meet the criteria may take advantage of the tokens of recognition offered but it is not compulsory.

Criteria and Recognition

It has been agreed by the Committee that there will be two levels of recognition within the Club. For those qualified volunteer coaches who consistently give two hours per week, or 100 hours per year, the Club will waive membership fees for the following year. This recognises the considerable and consistent commitment shown and the giving up of their free time. The coach is not obliged to take advantage of this.

For those qualified volunteer coaches who coach a club group at least twice a month, or 50 hours per year, the Club will offer a £20 gift voucher for them to spend as they wish.

The Club Coaching Coordinator will be responsible for identifying coaches who meet the criteria and implementing the correct recognition as outlined above.

The dates for qualifying period would run from 1 January each year to 31 December of that year.
